Great Artist Opportunities at McCloud Park!
-Beginning this fall, the park will feature an "Art in the Park" program
the third Sunday of every month.
McCloud hopes to have a variety of local artists provide instruction to our visitors. If interested contact Beth Litner at
765-676-5437
Artist of the Month: Be McCloud's featured artist of the month when you display your art in our Nature Center.
Exhibits may include but are not limited to watercolor, photography, ceramics, sculpture and drawings. Artwork focused on the
natural world is greatly appreciated. Artists may also be featured in on-line newsletters and press releases.
Art Instruction: November's "Art in Nature" will feature a "Sketch 'N' Go program, capturing the beauty of the park in handmade
journals. We are looking for a skilled artist to supply visitors with some easy sketching strategies. All supplies and programs
are provided to the public free of charge by the park. If you would like to volunteer your time (and possibly recruit some new art
students of your own!) this month or for future art programs, let us know!
McCloud is a nature park located just north of Danville, Indiana. It has over 230 acres with over 5 miles of hiking as well
as access to Big Walnut Creek. Our Nature Center hosts a bird viewing area, interactive computers, a greenhouse, resource library,
and art exhibits. All park programs are free and open to the public with no registration.
Please visit www.hendrickscountyparks.net to learn more about the variety of programs offered at McCloud Nature Park and
