Kirsten was born and raised in Danville, Indiana and has been the Advertising Manager at The Republican Newspaper since 2020. She is married to Lance Simon and is the proud mother of three children: Ty, Julia, and Adele.
Beyond her work in media, Kirsten is also a passionate visual artist. Inspired by her art teachers during her years in Danville schools, Marti McCoy, Janet Hemelgarn, Sue Gillock, and Joan Kisner.
She developed a lifelong love for creativity. Today, she enjoys working in a variety of mediums, including oils, acrylics, mixed media, and jewelry design, whenever time allows.
